The goal of the REACT (Renewable Energy for self-sustAinable island CommuniTies) project is to demonstrate the potential of large-scale deployment of RES and storage assets on geographical islands to bring economic benefits, contribute to the decarbonisation of local energy systems, reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and improve air quality.

EU Projects Clustering event: Smart Energy Services, April 2023

With the aim of sharing common ideas, best practices and create new knowledge to accelerate smart energy services, the SmartSPIN project is organising a two clustering events– EU Project Clustering event: Smart Energy Services – on 25th April and 17th May 2023. This event brings together top research organisations as well as industrial partners to present the project results and the new smart energy services that will improve the energy efficiency and flexibility in European buildings.

Knowledge Transfer Event for the Post of Serbia, April 2023

We are very pleased to announce the visit of our colleagues from the public enterprise "Post of Serbia" to the Institute Mihajlo Pupin on April 13th, 2023.

The IMP team (Valentina Janev and Lazar Berbakov) presented results from EU projects and presented opportunities for future collaboration in the EU Horizon Europe program 2023/2024.

Staff Exchange (INT) and Training, Pilot 1 (AIT), March 2023

On 20th and 21st of March, 2023, the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT)  hosted a delegation from the “Nikola Tesla” Institute (INT) of Electrical Engineering from Belgrade, Serbia, as part of INT cooperation with the SINERGY consortium. The Institute “Nikola Tesla” is a member of the Serbian Association of Institutes and a member of the Serbian Institute of Standardisation.

Workshop on Anticipatory Science Advice in the Western Balkans, March 2023

POLICY ANSWERS projects (R&I POLICY making, implementation ANd Support in the WEsteRn BalkanS) aims at supporting regional cooperation and closer integration of the Western Balkans (WBs) in the EU’s actions towards a digital, green and healthy future. One of the ways of achieving this objective is to enhance the framework conditions by promoting coherence and coordination at policy and funding programme levels with the European initiatives and platforms.

Staff exchange (IMP, NUIG), Pilot 1 (AIT), February 2023

On 27th and 28th of February, the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) hosted researchers from the Institute Mihajlo Pupin (IMP) and the National University of Galway (NUIG). The AIT team (Stöckl Johannes, Rao Bharath-Varsh, Ablinger Ron) proposed actions for the sustainability of the SINERGY partnership including ideas for new Horizon Europe projects.
