Capacity building in Smart and Innovative eNERGY management

Staff exchange (IMP), Pilot 2 (NUIG), November 2023

During the summer visit of NUIG researchers in Belgrade, a tentative plan was made for IMP young researchers to visit NUIG during the early or late fall of 2023 before the project comes to an end thus making the most use of the opportunity provided by the SINERGY project. With this unique opportunity in mind, the visit was scheduled for the final week of November 2023 as a 5-day-long stay in Galway, Ireland, as presented in the Figure below.

Grid Forming Converters: Standards and Experimental results, December 2023

On 14th of December 2023, in the Technology Transfer Office of the Institute Mihajlo Pupin (IMP), the AIT Team (Mr. Zoran Miletić, Mr. Roland Bründlinger and Mrs. Anja Banjac) conducted a training for the IMP staff. Guest at the event were researchers from the Institute Nikola Tesla, School of Electrical Engineering of the University of Belgrade and Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad.

The lectures related to the Integration of DER in Smart Grids  were divided as follows:

Staff Exchange (INT) and Training, Pilot 1 (AIT), March 2023

On 20th and 21st of March, 2023, the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT)  hosted a delegation from the “Nikola Tesla” Institute (INT) of Electrical Engineering from Belgrade, Serbia, as part of INT cooperation with the SINERGY consortium. The Institute “Nikola Tesla” is a member of the Serbian Association of Institutes and a member of the Serbian Institute of Standardisation.

Staff exchange (IMP, NUIG), Pilot 1 (AIT), February 2023

On 27th and 28th of February, the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) hosted researchers from the Institute Mihajlo Pupin (IMP) and the National University of Galway (NUIG). The AIT team (Stöckl Johannes, Rao Bharath-Varsh, Ablinger Ron) proposed actions for the sustainability of the SINERGY partnership including ideas for new Horizon Europe projects.

Grid Connected Inverter Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) Workshop, December 2022

On 15th of December, the Grid Connected Inverter Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) Workshop was organized as a hybrid knowledge transfer and training event for researchers from Serbia. The AIT Team (Zoran Miletić, Dr. Tarraso-Martinez Andres, Roland Bründlinger) presented AIT activities as follows:

Staff exchange (NUIG), Pilot 3 (IMP), July 2022

It is our pleasure to announce the visit of our colleague Ms. Dayanne Peretti Correa, PhD Candidate at the National University of Ireland, Galway to the Institute Mihajlo Pupin. In this short term visit, Ms. Dayanne worked with IMP colleagues on the elaboration of scenarios for Demand Response Applications via Optimized Heat Pump Operation.
