Fundamentals of Power Electronics

In this lecture, participants will be introduced into state-of-the-art DC/DC power electronic converters. After a short broad overview on the topic “power electronics and applications and current challenges”, the main focus will be an in-depth discussion on DC/DC converter architectures and operating modes. Furthermore, mathematical tools to derive fundamental converter parameters will be introduced. Eventually, participants have the opportunity to practice their developed skills based on solving selected design examples on DC/DC converters.
