Capacity building in Smart and Innovative eNERGY management

On 27th and 28th of February, the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) hosted researchers from the Institute Mihajlo Pupin (IMP) and the National University of Galway (NUIG). The AIT team (Stöckl Johannes, Rao Bharath-Varsh, Ablinger Ron) proposed actions for the sustainability of the SINERGY partnership including ideas for new Horizon Europe projects.

The IMP team presented the plan for SINERGY activities until the end of the year 2023. The focus was on the major event that will be organized at the end of September in Belgrade, please check the International SINERGY Conference on Smart and Innovative eNERGY management, September 2023 web page.

The NUIG team presented results for the currently running activities, in particular, the work on the master thesis by

  • Gavin Larkin, NUIG: Systematic Development of Energy Planning
  • Matthew Broderick, NUIG: Evaluation of the Indoor Environmental Quality in Energy Efficient Buildings (Alice Perry Building, see Figure below)
