We're very pleased to announce that the SINERGY Kick-off meeting was held ONLINE on 14 January 2021. The meeting was opened by Dr. Nikola Tomašević followed by the introduction of the meeting participants. Prof. Sanja Vraneš, Institute’s General Director introduced the Coordinating organization with a special focus on previous and ongoing internationally funded research projects related to the energy domain.
Representatives of the European Commission (Ms. Nataša Kuručki, Policy Officer, DG Research & Innovation, European Commission; Ms. Lia Keune, Project Adviser, Research Executive Agency; Ms. Eve Sõstra, Finance Officer, Research Executive Agency) attended the meeting and introduced the Twinning programme.
The focus of SINERGY is experience and knowledge exchange in the field of smart energy management among the partners, especially towards the reinforcement of IMP’s capabilities. Therefore, project partners the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH and the National University of Ireland Galway presented the possibilities of knowledge transfer in the framework of
- Pilot 1 Smart Grid Technologies, see AIT facilities (EnergyBase, TechBase) (presented by Dr. Johannes Stöckl)
- Pilot 2 Energy Efficient Building Operation, see NUIG Alice Perry Engineering Building (presented by Dr. Marcus Keane)
The kick-off meeting was an opportunity to meet the core SINERGY team (17 participants from the consortium attended the meeting).
